Dr. Erin Vines received his doctorate from the University of Southern California in Educational Leadership. His research is focused on using action research to close equity gaps in higher education. Dr. Vines received two Master’s Degrees, one in Education Counseling from California State University Bakersfield and the other from the University of LaVerne in Educational Leadership. Dr. Vines earned a basketball scholarship from California State University Bakersfield where he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Education. He also received an Associates of Arts in Liberal Studies from Reedley College.
Currently, Dr. Vines serves as Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Student Services at Antelope Valley College (AVC). Before his arrival to AVC, Dr. Vines was Dean of Counseling and Special Services at Solano Community College. Dr. Vines also has experience at the secondary level where he served as a was a high school administrator for seven years, prior to which he served as a counselor, teacher and coach.
