Dyrell Foster has been a student affairs professional working in the area of student life at four-year and two-year institutions for over 9 years. He currently serves as the Director of Student Life at Mt. San Antonio College, a community college serving over 40,000 students, where he has responsibility for student discipline and grievances, student government, leadership and development, student clubs, campus activities, and student participation in the college governance process. Dyrell also teaches an introductory leadership course.
Dyrell is currently an executive board member for the California Community College Student Affairs Association (CCCSAA), a member of the NASPA (National Association of Student Personnel Administrators) Region VI Advisory Board, and a member of the Association of California Community College Administrators (ACCCA).
Prior to his current position, Dyrell served as the Director of Student Life at Evergreen Valley College, as Activities Coordinator at San José State University, and as an Assistant Coordinator of the Student Leadership Institute at California State University, Fullerton. He received his B.S. in Applied Behavioral Science from the University of California, Davis and received his M.S. in Counseling with a specialization in Student Development in Higher Education from California State University, Long Beach. Dyrell is currently a doctoral student in the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California.
